Tips For Keeping Your Holidays Or Any Other Special Occasion Safe For Kids   Last updated 2/18/2008

No matter if it's your birthday, Christmas, or any other Holiday you are celebrating, keep it happy by staying safe.

Shopping Safety:

Don't wander around looking for your parent if you get separated when you're shopping. Go to the nearest store and tell a clerk or security guard that you need help.

Watch out for your new stuff.

Keep your bike and toys inside when you aren't using them. If you ride your bike to a park or friend's house, keep it locked with a sturdy lock (see Bicycle Safety). If there is a bike rack, use it. Put your name on your new things so you can identify them if they are stolen or lost.

Be careful with your holiday gift money.

Keep your money in your pocket, or leave it at home until you need it. Don't show it off. Don't take it out of your pocket or purse until you are paying for something.
